Application
Before application, properly prepare the new, sanded, or previously finished wood floor according to accepted NWFA or MFMA procedures. For screening and recoating, Betco recommends thoroughly cleaning and screening the existing finish before applying StreetShoe® NXT.
Mixing
While stirring the finish, slowly add the catalyst and continue mixing for approximately 30 seconds. Mix thoroughly and allow the catalyzed product to stand for 10 minutes before application. Once catalyzed, the product has a 24-hour pot life.
Application Rate
Apply at approximately 600–800 sq. ft. per gallon, maintaining a wet edge throughout application. Allow a minimum of 3 hours between coats, depending on environmental conditions. If more than 10 hours elapses between coats, abrade the previous coat according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Allow light traffic after approximately 24 hours, although the finish can remain susceptible to scuffing and marring during the early curing period. Adequate airflow should be maintained for at least 24 hours after the final coat.
