Application & Directions
Restorative Maintenance
- Completely remove existing wax, finish, and soil using an appropriate stripping procedure with Betco Recover.
- Ensure the floor is clean, dry, and free of residue.
- Rinse with clean water if necessary.
- Apply Rescue TruMatte® in uniform, thin-to-medium coats using a clean synthetic finish mop, microfiber mop, or suitable applicator.
- Allow approximately 20–30 minutes drying time between coats.
- Apply a minimum of 2 coats.
On flooring with a factory-applied finish, Betco recommends performing a top scrub with Recover and a maroon pad or equivalent before applying the finish to improve coating performance.
Routine Maintenance
Sweep and dust mop the floor, then damp mop or automatically scrub using an appropriate Betco floor cleaner. Buffing or burnishing is not recommended for the TruMatte finish when the goal is to maintain its natural matte appearance; Betco's burnishing instruction applies to the Gloss version.
Interim Maintenance
Top scrub the floor using Recover and a maroon pad or equivalent to remove soiled upper layers of finish. Once the floor is clean, dry, and residue-free, apply 1–2 coats of Rescue TruMatte® as needed.
