Application & Directions
Restorative Maintenance
- Completely remove old wax, finish, and soil using Betco Recover Floor Stripper.
- Ensure the floor is clean, dry, and free of residue.
- Rinse with clean water if necessary.
- Apply Rescue Gloss in uniform, thin-to-medium coats using a clean synthetic finish mop, microfiber mop, or suitable applicator.
- Allow approximately 20–30 minutes of drying time between coats.
- Apply a minimum of 2 coats.
For many flooring types with a factory-applied finish, Betco recommends performing a top scrub with Recover and a maroon pad or equivalent before coating.
Routine Maintenance
Sweep and dust mop regularly, then damp mop or automatically scrub using an appropriate Betco floor cleaner. For the Gloss version, buffing or burnishing can be used to enhance gloss. Betco also recommends One Step High Speed Cleaner/Restorer to condition the floor and extend the time between recoating cycles.
Interim Maintenance
Top scrub the floor with Recover and a maroon pad or equivalent to remove soiled upper layers of finish. Once the surface is clean, dry, and residue-free, apply 1–2 coats of Rescue Gloss as required.
