Application & Directions

Restorative Maintenance

1. Completely remove old wax, finish, and soil using Betco's Recover Floor Stripper.
2. Ensure the floor is clean, dry, and free of residue.
3. Rinse with clean water if necessary.
4. Apply Rescue Gloss in uniform, thin-to-medium coats using a clean synthetic finish mop, microfiber mop, or appropriate applicator.
5. Allow approximately 20–30 minutes for each coat to dry.
6. Apply a minimum of 2 coats.

Betco recommends performing a top scrub with Recover and a maroon pad or equivalent on many alternate flooring types where a factory finish may affect coating performance.

Routine Maintenance

Sweep and dust mop the floor, then damp mop or automatically scrub using an appropriate Betco floor cleaner. Buff or burnish when desired to enhance gloss. Betco recommends One Step High Speed Cleaner/Restorer to condition the floor and extend the interval between top scrubbing and recoating.

Interim Maintenance

Top scrub the floor using Recover and a maroon pad or equivalent to remove soiled upper layers of finish. After the surface is clean and dry, apply 1–2 coats of Rescue Gloss as required.
