Player’s Choice™ One – 4 × 1 Gallon F-Style Bottles is a professional one-component, clear water-based sport floor finish by Basic Coatings/Betco, specifically formulated for hardwood athletic floors. It provides a completely colorless finish with strong durability and chemical and perspiration resistance, without requiring an external catalyst.

The 4 × 1-gallon F-Style case is Item #B1659-4312. Its one-component formulation means there is no limited pot life and no catalyst-related product waste, making it convenient for professional gym-floor maintenance and refinishing.

Product Specifications

The current manufacturer documentation lists the F-Style configuration as B1659-4312, with 550–700 sq. ft./gal. coverage, 2–3 hour drying time, and a 2–24 hour recoat window.

Application

For new or freshly sanded floors, prepare the wood according to accepted NWFA or MFMA procedures. Vacuum thoroughly and tack with a clean cotton towel. Apply an appropriate water-based wood sealer according to its instructions before applying Player’s Choice™ One. 

For screening and recoating, clean the floor first, screen using new 100- or 120-grit screens or finer, vacuum thoroughly, and tack with a water-moistened cotton towel. 

Apply Player’s Choice™ One at approximately 550–700 sq. ft. per gallon, maintaining a wet edge. Allow at least 2 hours between coats, depending on conditions, and apply a minimum of 2 coats. If more than 24 hours passes between coats, abrade before recoating.

Allow approximately 24 hours before light traffic. Adequate airflow should be maintained for at least 24 hours after the final coat.
