LiquiShield
LiquiShield® Concrete Guard by Betco is a water-based protective guard designed for cured concrete, terrazzo, and other porous stone floors. It enhances floor gloss while providing substantial protection against stains, etching, scuffs, black marks, and soil. It is part of Betco's Crete Rx™ ProCoat System.
LiquiShield is designed to replace traditional floor finishes and conventional coatings in suitable applications. Its breathable formulation is low odor, easy to apply, and will not peel, flake, or discolor under normal use.

Betco particularly recommends LiquiShield for floors requiring heavy stain protection, non-polished concrete that needs additional gloss and protection, and certain terrazzo floors that cannot be dry-polished effectively.

Betco currently lists 4 × 1-gallon bottles, Item #167904-00, as the available LiquiShield packaging.
Application & Directions
- Clean the entire floor with an appropriate Betco floor cleaner.
- Allow the floor to dry completely.
- Apply LiquiShield at approximately 3,000–4,000 sq. ft. per gallon using a flat-finish microfiber applicator.
- Allow the coating to dry to the touch plus approximately 30 minutes.
- Burnish using a Hair Lite pad.
- Apply a second coat using the same procedure.
- An optional third coat may be applied where additional protection or appearance is desired.
- After the final coat dries, high-speed burnish with a Hair Lite pad.
Betco recommends allowing approximately 1–2 hours before full traffic and 24 hours before using cleaners on the floor.
Crete Rx™ ProCoat System
LiquiShield is used as the Concrete Guard step in Betco's Crete Rx ProCoat process:
Prepare → LiquiStrip if needed → LiquiShield → Burnish → Routine Maintenance
For floors with an existing permanent coating, Betco recommends using LiquiStrip first to remove the coating before applying LiquiShield.
